Zmiyivka – OSC "Chumak"

Visit to the village of Zmiyivka, which was founded by Swedish settlers in 1782, excursion to OSC "Chumak" – successful Joint Ukrainian-Swedish Venture.

This tour is intended for tourist of Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

We invite tourists to the old Swedish village Smiyivka, which was founded by settlers from Dago island (Sweden) in 1782. Germans of Swedish origin settled at the same place later. People of Zmiyivka keep Sweden traditions and habits, which are deeply interlaced with Ukrainian and German ones. There are three churches in the village: Ukrainian Orthodox, Greek Catholic and Lutheran. Tour includes meeting with descendants of the first settlers, excursion, church service, and lunch.

Diligence and creative abilities of Swedish and Ukrainian people gave birth to the new phenomenon in Kherson area – Open Stock Company "Chumak" – the most successful Ukrainian-Sweden enterprise for the last 5 years.
